VOCOM devices can be configured to connect and pair to an Android device instead of a PC. In this case, the diagnostic application, such as Workshop Toolbox or Diagnostic Toolbox, is running on the Android device.
The VOCOM Tough device is connected to the vehicle/equipment’s OBD port/Diagnostic connector. The connection between the VOCOM Mini and the Android device is wireless.
Note: Tech Tool is not available in Android.
Android mode allows your VOCOM Tough to connect to an Android device while the Android device remains connected to the internet through its mobile network.
Note: Android mode is available on VOCOM Tough devices with firmware version 4.08 or later.
After the VOCOM Tough has restarted, it is now in Android mode.
VOCOM devices in Android mode will appear in the list as Unpaired.
Select the required VOCOM Tough from the list. This sends a pairing invitation to the device, and the status changes to Initiated. The Android device is now waiting for confirmation from the VOCOM.
Press the device button once. The status in the Android app changes to Available.
Select the VOCOM device with status Available. The status changes to "Busy" while it connects to the vehicle.
